Disable mobile device PIN policy
By default Exchange 2010 has a policy requiring mobile devices (iPhones/iPads and Android Devices) to have a pin code before the account can be setup. The following steps outline removing this policy:
- Launch the Exchange Management Console
- Expand Microsoft Exchange On-Premises
- Expand Organization Configuration
- Select Client Access
- Change to the Exchange ActiveSync Mailbox Policies Tab
- Right click the policy named Default and select Policies
- Select the Password Tab
- Uncheck the require password checkbox
- Click Ok to Save.
Now when you setup a device you won’t be prompted to create a pin code
